Just like his wife has a palace of her own, so too does the emperor. His palace is a bit different and less fancy than the queen's -- his is more in tune with nature. Also lurking within his palace is the jail cells, used to imprison people who have done wrong in Sei'an. It's typically quiet, and the emperor's palace is not nearly as much guarded as the queen's, because the emperor welcomes all with open arms.
