With a site, with seasons, or with the world, there comes change. Because of the disorder of the world, we often don't notice these changes until it's too late. On this site, however, you are informed of changes before they happen. You could call this an Updates board; we call it a change board.

A story always begins with "once upon a time". And when it finishes, it has a unique middle. This unique middle is what our site relies on -- the plot of the site. In order to embark on our almighty journeys through Nippon and the heavens above, however, we need to know plot above all else. So this is where the plot goes.

Curious as to what this is? Well, my friend, this is where staff stuff is located. This board is solely as a holder for actual staff announcements, as well as a staff application board. If you want to be a staff member of As it Once Was, this is where you will be going, or at least, somewhat.

Are you new to Okami: As it Once Was? Well, don't just lurk. This is where you'll be able to introduce yourself to the other members. Don't worry, none of us bite. Though Shiranui does love to harass new members about their instant messenger names... be forewarned.

Are you going to go away for a while, or perhaps possibly forever? Instead of leaving us in the dark and making it so we could possibly place your characters under adoption without your permission of any sort, this is where you can tell us any excused absenses. If you're leaving forever though, you must supply a reason. Why, you ask? Because Shiranui says so.

Wep'keer is a small town located near the middle of Kamui/Northern Nippon. The people that live here are the Oina tribe, people that are able to transform into wolves and live in tune with the frozen wasteland and nature that is Kamui. Wep'keer also has a secret entrance located somewhere up some of the ramps to a snowy back playground, where you can constantly roll up snowballs and play with others when the weather isn't too snowy.

Known as the ancient forest of confusion, Yoshpet is a forest that no monster or even Oina dares touch. It's cautioned against even going near it, because, often, if you go inside, it's likely you'll never come back out. Because of this, because of the giant hazards, Yoshpet isn't known to contain any inhabitants except for foolish wanderers or the Poncles, who live in a town in the center of it.

Sub-boards: PONC'TAN., SPIRIT GATE.

Laochi Lake is the largest and only lake anywhere in Northern Nippon. Encased slightly in ice, the lake has not moved ever since it was first discovered, and that only adds to the mysterious feel to it. When walking in the snowy, hill-like area around Laochi Lake, they get the chills just looking at it. It is over Laochi Lake that a sword is enshrined, a sword by the name Kutone. It has guarded the whole of Kamui for as long as anyone can remember, as long as Shiranui has been alive, which is a pretty dang long time.

Sub-board: EZOFUJI.

Shinshu Field is a large field connecting Kamiki Village, Hana Valley, Agata Forest, and the Moon Cave together. The valley is known commonly as a beautiful spot, filled with many blooming trees and many locations of interest. Merchants typically pick up most of their supplies from here, and selling is also best in the field. Mainly also this location is known to be among the largest fields in Southern Nippon.

Sub-boards: MOON CAVE., PYROTECHNIST'S HOUSE.

One of the nice sidespots that is close to Kamiki Village is definitely Hana Valley. Hana Valley is known for its great beauty, and often the old tribes that live around it come by often. They have even etched something on the wall, a ritual of making the sapling lying here grow if ever evil were to spread its seeds. Rumor has it that this tribe is related distinctly to the Moon Tribe, but nobody knows for sure if this is true.

Through a cave channel that is connected by a running river to Shinshu Field, a forest of beauty and slight darkness lies, Agata Forest. The moon is especially bright here, for ominous reasons. The water is clear, and bright, and easy to see through, especially to see the reflection of the moon. If you need a ride here from Shinshu Field, all you need to do is ride the ferry, which only costs a few yen. Of course, sometimes you might want to escape the costs...

Sub-boards: FORTUNETELLER'S HOUSE., TSUTA RUINS.

Taka Pass has to be one of the largest regions of the whole of Nippon. This area is a whole pass crossroad between multiple areas, from Agata Forest to the City Checkpoint, to Kusa Village, and to Sasa Sanctuary. There is an old indent in the ground that leads to a spring, which if used Watersprout on, would be jumpable to the other side of the hill, to the Mermaid Spring. Because of its large size, Taka Pass is a good place for merchants to take stock. There is also a group of pesky moles close to where the merchants choose to pack.

Sub-boards: CITY CHECKPOINT., SASA SANCTUARY.

Kusa Village is frankly one of the smaller villages, but it does have a priestess that guards it. It's not a very prosperous place and is most commonly known for its divine wind found nowhere else in Nippon. It is believed that the wind god, Kazegami, favors this place more so over any other place and tends to blow his winds this direction.

Sub-board: GALE SHRINE.

Quite frankly, Ryoshiama Coast, especially so in this part, is the most beautiful coast anywhere in Nippon. This is along the edge of Southern Nippon, and it leads to the Great Sea, used to travel up North, West, or East. This coast is an amazing vacation spot, and is also a common trading spot for Sei'an City and the such.

Oh yes, the big city -- Sei'an. It is definitely one of the more famous cities throughout the whole of Nippon. (Though there are a few in the East and West.) Sei'an City is known commonly for its fair ruling by a beautiful queen and a jolly emperor, and typically prospers more than other civilizations. It's so large that it even has specific quarters.

With the new Proboards came the ability to post YouTube videos by simply copying the URL and putting it in youtube tags. Well, this board is where we can take advantage of that! Post up any YouTube videos you found particularly interesting, and if they're good enough the topic may get pinned. Be creative; and try to find some Okami videos as well. Shiranui will also post up YouTube videos of the songs in Okami.
